Questions with Oprah
Oprah’s O magazine came out and we have lots to learn from it.
Barabara Bradely Hagerty, a writer and contributor to the magazine says that purpose is the strongest life secret we have. That having a purpose is what makes us have more fulfilling lives (p. 8).
So I wonder, what is your purpose in life? What is it that you hold onto that drives you to work hard and grow every moment that you can?
Oprah, on p. 17 asks “What’s the best way to live a full, honest, examined life? Where do we find deeper meaning/ How can we bridge the gap between ourselves and others, especially when it seems wider than ever?” Her answer is quite fitting: Ask the right questions!
Well, she is right. The more we ask, the deeper we go! The more we ask, the more we know about ourselves and others!
I know that questions are at the root of all change, and change is a transition that we work through with our purpose in mind.
What’s the best way to live a full, honest, examined life?
Be authentically you in everything you do.
Where do we find deeper meaning? How can we bridge the gap between ourselves and others, especially when it seems wider than ever?”
I find deeper meaning in the little things of this world. For instance, the way my mom sends me texts saying “I love you” or when my husband peeks around the corner when he comes home from work!
It’s in the moments of pure joy, and also in the moments of greatest pain where I ask more questions and thus more is revealed.
